BLJ Worldwide has served as WISH’s communications partner between 2016-2023, providing bilingual PR and social media services.
We have led the development and distribution of all communications materials; conducted local, regional and international media outreach activities; and liaised between WISH and the Qatar Foundation Newsroom and Press Office on an ongoing basis.

For every WISH Summit, our team worked closely with WISH and the appointed event management company to manage all communications activities around the event, including news releases, inviting and managing international media, actively pitching media stories, coordinating interview requests, and capturing the event live on social media.

Our media outreach activities during the WISH 2018 and 2020 Summits resulted in 624 and 972 articles in global media, respectively, the latter of which was particularly challenging due to the event being fully virtual for the first time. The extensive live social media coverage resulted in WISH trending in Qatar twice during the 2020 Summit.

BLJ ran a fully integrated communications campaign in the run-up to and during WISH 2022. The team designed and executed a communications strategy which used the summit’s rich bank of content to create an agile, timely, relevant and genuinely integrated program of content pre, during and post event, to engage local, regional and international media.

Alongside wide and targeted media pitching activity, BLJ facilitated the first ever WISH-commissioned global survey through YouGov that created a bank of news headlines and shed light on some of the summit’s most pertinent issues.

The summit was mentioned in the press 1,902 times – an increase of 68% on 2020 and 204% on 2018 – and achieved an overall reach of 686 million. BLJ also provided on-the-ground social media coverage at 45+ events during the three-day summit and generated 1,575,056 impressions across the entire campaign period (July-Oct).

Our team has also supported WISH with year-round events such as various symposia, community outreach activities, and innovation competitions. Through high-quality content development, social media campaigns, targeted media relations, and media monitoring activities, we ensure that WISH receives significant exposure among the right audiences.
