Coming on board in 2019 to support Qatar Museums (QM) with tailored communications strategies and campaigns, BLJ Worldwide has since been helping QM to define its role in nurturing the cultural landscape in Qatar, positioning the national institution at the forefront of arts and culture in the region and beyond.

Working across Qatar Museums’ vast network, comprising four existing and four upcoming museums, country-wide Public Art and Archaeology and Heritage programs, three Creative Hubs, three festivals, and three museum gallery spaces hosting exhibitions, we have developed a unifying messaging framework and a long-term communications strategy in support of the Museums’ objective to position Qatar as the Middle East’s leading arts and culture hub in line with principles of 2030 National Vision.

On a daily basis, we support QM with external and internal communications, including working with various departments at QM, cultivating relationships with other museums and artists’ studios around the world, engaging with strategic stakeholders in Qatar outside of QM across governmental and commercial sectors, drafting speeches, press-releases, Q&A sessions, and managing local and regional media interactions.

BLJ Worldwide spearheads strategic communications all the domestic and international QM projects. It also organizes and manages press trips, identifying regional media targets to attend and cover a week-long program of exhibition openings, public talks and events, generating distinctive visibility and media coverage throughout the whole region.

Key achievements since BLJ Worldwide include: the successful planning and execution of various communications strategies for several editions of ‘Qatar Creates’, which included the opening of major international exhibitions and events such as “The curious desert” exhibition by Olafur Eliasson, “‘Virgil Abloh: Figures of Speech’; ‘Jeff Koons: Lost in America’; two Pipilotti Rist shows; the official unveiling of M7, one of creative hubs in Msheireb with its inaugural exhibition ‘Christian Dior Designer of Dreams’ and the following “Forever Valentino”, launch of Liwan Design Studios and of 3-2-1 QOSM Museum, as well the as inaugural edition of Design Doha Biennial.
